Jeg synes der ligger en ærlighed og styrke i den enlige genstand. Og sådan tror jeg det hænger sammen med naturen, som ikke behøver mere, dens storhed ligger i den som den er.

Min imitation af planter indeholder kontrasten mellem natur og kultur; det skildrede og det skildrende. Værkerne handler mere om kulturgenstande end om naturen, fordi naturemnet minder os om at keramikken netop ikke er selvgroet, men derimod resultat af valg og forarbejdning.


I think there is an honesty and strength in the solitary object. And this is what I think has to do with nature, which needs no more, its greatness lies in it as it is.

My imitation of plants contains the contrast between nature and culture; the depicted and the depicting. The works are more about cultural objects than about nature, because the subject of nature reminds us that ceramics are not self-grown, but rather the result of choice and processing.
